The Hyatt Lost Pines Resort outside Austin in Bastrop, Texas offers the best and most authentic nature trails since it has the advantage of being adjacent to McKinney Roughs Nature Park. You can access the nature park directly from the resort and take advantage of it’s 18+ miles of scenic trails. You can explore on your own, take a guided tour, or even ride horseback! 4. Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center (Grapevine, Texas)
The Gaylord Texan Resort, located halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth in historic Grapevine, Texas, has two trails: a half mile loop that circles the resort and a mile loop that connects the main resort to Paradise Springs Aquatic Park. These are are both fully paved. The mile loop is really a sidewalk adjacent to the main road that you take to get to the resort on one side and dense woods on the other but little shade on the trail. It also has a bridge that offers nice views of boats on Lake Grapevine.
